About The Authors![]() Bill MorrisBill Morris is a qualified civil engineer with over 30 years experience in the building and property development industries. He began his career supervising the construction of residential subdivisions and became District Manager, Port Stephens at Hunter Water, Newcastle at the age of 34. Bill completed his MBA two years later, at which point he became interested in property economics and market research techniques and methodology. Bill moved to the Gold Coast in 1986 to form Prodap, which specialised in work-outs for subdivsions needing special marketing and presentation improvements. This work was generally required by mortgagees. A particular example was for the housing estate Parkwood Heights (Gold Coast) for Ferrier Hodgson, which produced an outstanding result for the liquidator. Borne from the need for hard data on which to base work-outs of problem properties for mortgagees, Bill began the first regular property survey for the Gold Coast. Prodap is still in operation and now produces The Prodap Report, which provides analysis of vacant land and packaged housing supply and demand. Expanding his research arm, Bill headed up The Midwood Queensland Investment Report after Alan Midwood's retirement in 2003. Apart from his research capability, Bill has been involved in many projects as project manager. Examples are Forest Hills, Parkwood Heights, Highland Park and The Ridges on Pine Ridge Road. Bree-Anna MorrisJoining the Midwood and Prodap team early in 2005 as Research Analyst/Production Manager, Bree-Anna moved to the role of Head of Research and Communications in late 2006, and brings with her ten years experience in the tourism accommodation market, along with a steady background in general property issues. Bree-Anna has completed studies in market research, statistical analysis, global tourism, business law, economics and property fundamentals and has been mentored by Bill Morris and Alan Midwood (founder of the Midwood Queensland Investment Report). Bree-Anna holds a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Tourism Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese from Griffith University, Gold Coast. In her current role, Bree-Anna undertakes data collection for various projects, data analysis, commentary on the Queensland property and tourism markets and field work involving assessing residential sites for entry in the Midwood and Prodap Reports. Bree-Anna is a current committee member for Women In Tourism (Gold Coast) Inc. |
